Greetings!

If you feel you’ve reached this page in error, don’t be upset. It could literally happen to the best of us, so just calm down and relax before you close the window and continue on with your life elsewhere.

If you intended to reach this page you might just be wondering what simpleton writes this blog (which is all about video games, music and all the other vitally important crap, should you have forgotten). That so happens to be me and my name happens to be Rikard Olsson.

Recently I worked as a games tester for Rare and now that I am no longer busy with that I tend to write quite a bit. Some of it ends up in this blog and some of it has been spread out elsewhere as I have done freelance work for a number of gaming websites and magazines over the years, including Critical Gamer and PC Gamer.

What I want to do with Damn Talking Box! is to be able to write in English about the things I love, particularly games obviously, from angles that aren’t weathered as often as they probably should. I want to both join and start discussions, comment and illuminate, but ultimately I really want whoever sets their sights on this corner of blogkind to feel like they’re getting some kind of entertainment or insight for their trouble. If I succeed is mostly up to you, because I’m a terrible judge of myself, y’see.
