About

Greetings!

If you feel you’ve reached this page in error, don’t be upset. It could literally happen to the best of us, so just calm down and relax before you close the window and continue on with your life somehow.

If you intended to reach this page you might just be wondering what sort of someone writes this blog. That happens to be me and my name happens to be Rikard Olsson.

Currently I write for FZ.se and  PC Gamer and in the past I have contributed to numerous gaming and music sites, both English and Swedish, including Critical Gamer. I have also worked as a games tester for Rare and now that I am no longer busy with that I tend to write quite a bit. Whatever doesn’t end up in any of the aforementioned channels tends to wind up here.

What I want to do with Damn Talking Box! is give myself an outlot to write in English about the things I love, games and music especially, from angles that aren’t weathered as often as they probably should. I want to both join and start discussions, comment, learn and illuminate, but ultimately I really want whoever sets their sights on this corner of blogkind to feel like they’re getting some kind of entertainment or insight for their trouble. If I succeed is mostly up to you, what with you being the reader, and all.

Should you wish to contact me, you can do so in numbers of ways. Send an email to rilleolsson [at] hotmail [dot] com, inserting appropriate punctuation as necessary. You can also find me on Twitter and LinkedIn if either of those are your thing.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the show. Here’s a silly picture of a rabbit.
